Live performance organizer Sound Alliance and mobile energy storage system (ESS) provider aeonus joined forces to expand environmentally friendly live events, the two companies said on Thursday.
Sound Alliance and aeonus signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday to jointly develop environmentally friendly live event models.
Under the agreement, the two companies will work together to deploy aeonus’ mobile ESS solutions at concerts and festivals organized by Sound Alliance and replace diesel generators to reduce carbon emissions, noise and fine dust.

They also plan to release environmental, social and governance, or ESG, content and campaigns, as well as expand their collaboration into exhibitions and media art.
“The live entertainment industry has reached a point in which it can no longer delay efforts to reduce carbon emissions,” Han Mun-kyu, the CEO of Sound Alliance, said. “At the same time, however, the reality is that adopting environmentally friendly technologies remains challenging.

Founded in 2018, Sound Alliance is a live entertainment company specializing in concert and festival production and live event technology solutions, including audio, video, design and music production. The company has worked with major Korean entertainment and content firms, including HYBE, JYP Entertainment and CJ ENM.
aeonus was founded in 2020 and developed the mobile ESS indego, an environmentally friendly power solution that replaces diesel generators at local events, festivals, construction sites and disaster areas.
